Flora Europaea biennal, T mesic to mesoxeric, opportunistic ruderal eastern Pannonian-Transylvanian-Moldavian Onopordion, Lolio-Trifolietum repentis R87 and ruderalized R34 and R38 habitats       A subendemic ruderal which grows in the same places with the much common Cirsium vulgare.
